Happy Tuesday and Bachelor Update

Happy Tuesday! Last night's Bachelor was a doozy. I am absolutely loving this season and Juan Pablo. And this little situation below....how precious are these two (four?).

Glad we got the really really drunk gal episode out of the way. I can't help but feel bad for Victoria, but glad Juan Pablo handled the whole situation so beautifully.

Last week, I forcibly made my husband and sister fill out our final four Bachelor ballots. At some point I'll be organized enough to make a bracket in the spirit of March Madness, but for now, here are our predictions. Mary is the only one still in the game for now. Really wishing I had subbed Cassandra for Alexis, but oh well! I had a hard enough time deciding the my final pick as you can see.

My sweet precious husband brought me some baby's breath over the weekend and I think it looks so sweet on our dining room table. Just goes to show that you don't have to have the most expensive flowers for them to look nice...and cheer you up! And, baby's breath is such a great January flower, clean and simple.

Best Dressed: Golden Globes

I've been down and out with a cold of late, so this weekend was even less eventful than usual, but luckily the Golden Globes were on and there was some surprisingly good fashion methinks. Some stinkers too, but let's keep it positive, right?

Hands down best dressed in my opinion was Lupita Nyong'o in Ralph Lauren. Just breathtaking. I love a cape on a dress and a red dress just always looks amazing. Bonus points for looking great with a half-shaved head too, not many folks can pull that off on the red carpet or otherwise.

Kerry Washington pregnant is just about the cutest thing ever. Love her in this Balenciaga. She's always stunning, and this might be one of my favorites on her ever. Just. So. Good.

Olivia Wilde in Gucci. I mean, are you freaking kidding me?!? How do you look even better pregnant than you do normally? No really, this is not a rhetorical question, I need to know. And her hair looks amazing too. Is that your real hair? Again, I would love to really know the answer.

Probably my new favorite person to look for on the red carpet is Allison Williams. I don't think she can possibly look bad. She's so super pretty, which of course helps, but I really think her elegant but stylish choices set her apart from the pack. Not sure who designed this, but I LOVE it!

Monogram of the Moment

I will admit that I completely stole this idea from a few ladies I overheard at Williams-Sonoma. The idea is to monogram a house number on a dishtowel or, in this case, cocktail napkins. Kind of cute, don't you think? And, it's such a great housewarming gift.

Weekend Snaps

Happy Monday! This weekend I went to my second black tie party while preggo.

You can't really tell from this photo, but I wore this dress...

It's sold out on Shopbop where I bought it, but I also like this one. It was super comfy. I can't say the same for my shoes, but I think that's just the way it's going to be from here on out!

I bought my first spring purchase, this J.Crew popover. I can't wait to wear it. Just looking at it makes me happy! Isn't it pretty?

I'm currently on the hunt for a diaper bag, because I hear you need one for a baby, but my goodness they are not cute. The cuter of the not-so-cute ones I have found are this and this, and they are still kind of pricey for unattractive nylon bags with pockets, so now I'm thinking I'll just buy a new tote bag, like this (very expensive) beauty...

I still love the Gigi New York one though, and it's so much cheaper...

Enough about shopping, here's a cute photo of my fur babies from the weekend. Poor Luke's expression in this is priceless, but he's a little large (and stinky) for the bed.

And, you know what the first Monday in January means, right?

It's Bachelor time! I'm so excited to see Juan Pablo as the Bachelor. I think the language barrier is going to be endlessly entertaining and he really seemed like a sweet guy on Desiree's season. The ladies look like the usual, but I love that in their ABC bios among the eight facts featured is whether or not they have tattoos. Oy.

Have a fabulous week!

Happy New Year!

Happy 2014!

We rang in the new year with a fancy dinner with friends and had a lot of fun. Well, as much fun as you can have on New Year's Eve super pregnant.

I was kind of sad to pack up our Christmas stuff, especially this little guy I got at The Nutcracker...I definitely ate the cookie and all of his friends.

I'm not making any resolutions, because I mean, I'm perfect already I think they are destined for failure. But I did get a Vitamix for Christmas and have been making green juice like the one below. So that's my kind of resolution...drink more greenery...and eat less Nutcracker cookies.

Next up to try are these juices from the latest issue of Us Weekly

And, I found some fun new drapes at Target this past week. I love yellow, but I sometimes find it hard to incorporate into home decor because it's so bright. These curtains are my total new favorite yellow thing and they were so cheap!
