I'm going to be honest, not a huge fan of Apple's retail stores. Even when you have an appointment the wait is brutal and it always seems super chaotic, an unpleasant environment for someone with slight OCD tendencies. I want people waiting in a line. Needless to say I usually avoid it at all costs.

However, I might make an exception for the mega brand's new outpost in Grand Central Terminal. Recently the subject of this New York Magazine article, the store is completely open air and offers online purchasing for in store pickup. I love the design and the fact that it will offer Apple visitors a reason to look up from their phones and pads and what have you to view one of the greatest examples of Beaux Arts design in America. Jackie O would be so proud.
