Tory Story
I am currently obsessed with finding the perfect vintage turquoise necklace. I found a fantastic, 1960s vintage piece at an antique fair not long ago but the obscene price tag deterred me. Fortunately, Tory Burch has a sweater with a similar necklace element sewn on for a fraction of the price. Cheesy? Not cheesy?

I Love...
J. Crew's Delphinia gown.
Reminds me of Marissa Tomei's gown from last year's Oscars. It was her second and I suppose her "party" dress, but I loved it even more than the first, which was also fabulous.
Gown #1 by Versace, gown #2 by Juan Carlos Abondo.

Not So Particuliere
After a failed attempt to locate Chanel's Particuliere (on model above and sold out in U.S. stores by the way), I have stumbled upon a few similar colors and a few really fun and new colors for spring that I like.
If you have your heart set on Particuliere, it can be yours for a whopping $69.99 on Amazon, but here are some options if you would like a mani/pedi with that bottle of nail lacquer.
OPI's You Don't Know Jacques! almost the same color as the double c incarnation!!!
Essie's Mink Muffs, which I feel would look best on people with olive and warm complexions
And, just for fun, Essie's Tart Deco
...because spring begs for something really girly in my opinion! This shade reminds me of peach frozen yogurt!!!!
And because I love Rachel Zoe, her picks for spring...
Sheswai's Fersure...also love So Cute in this line
Essie's Pop Art Pink
Of course, Particuliere is on her list, but I imagine she could call Karl at any moment and request a bottle. I wonder how that convo would go....

Benji Wednesday
Benji is not the most outgoing dog, he's more of a loner and he's certainly no athlete. My friend A always jokes about the time we took him for a mile walk and he gave up halfway though and started jumping up in an attempt to be carried the remainder of the outing. So, during a recent snow day I thought Benji would want no part of it.
I was completely wrong. He loved it, bounding through the snowbanks like a dog twice his size.
After the outing he got a much needed bath, which he was less excited about...

The University of Texas Club
A few weeks ago we were lucky enough to attend a beautiful wedding in Austin, Texas. Among the many fun weekend events was the rehearsal dinner, which took place at The University of Texas Club in the Daryl K. Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium.
As you can imagine, the space was full of nods to the Longhorns. Even the carpet had horn motif
One of the coolest parts about the venue is the Hall of Fame-esque entryway. The walls are covered with UT memorabilia including a walkway tribute to Bevo (the beloved UT mascot) and Bevos of bygone years.
A day in the life of Bevo...

The Alexa Factor
I am hopelessly obsessed with Alexa Chung, even going so far as to once watch It's On with Alexa Chung (may it rest in peace). At any rate, Alexa is muse to many and for good reason. She's awesome. The evidence:
And, the good people at Mulberry think Alexa is the bee's knees too. They've made an amazing bag named after the fabulous Brit. I love the satchel, obviously, but my favorite is the Alexa clutch.

Fashion Week: Part Two
More to love from NYC...
All-American sportswear at Michael Kors
(Totally obsessed with the above look.)
Some fun and flirty dresses from Marc Jacobs
(Love the apron-style skirt on this dress!!!)
Fabulousness from Tibi. Obsessed with this collection and the fantastic '80s windswept hair on the models. This is the hair I longed for as an 8-year-old.
Long dresses for day, sequins and shimmer, black on black, cutouts, abstract prints, leg warmers (yay!) seem to be the stories for now. Looks like a fabulous fall to look forward to. Photos via Style.com.
