Happy Monday!

Did you watch the Oscars? I watched every second of the awards show, and the best part of course, the red carpet. My vote for best dressed has to be Naomi Watts in Armani Prive. 

She looks so gorgeous. This is my idea of Oscar perfection. She looks glamorous, appropriate for the occasion and totally sexy. 

Honorable mention to Katniss, Jennifer Lawrence, in Dior Haute Couture. 

I'm obsessed with this entire collection from Dior and I think she wore this dress really well. I loved the diamond necklace worn backwards. It made it seem young and fresh. My only issue is the hair. This photo looked good, but on video the back of it just looked very messy and kind of boring. Sorry, L. Law, you were otherwise awesome. And, I mean, whatever, you have an Oscar and you're like 18.

And, just because I love her....here is Jessica Chastain in Armani Prive. She looked smashing as well. 

Last week, I went with my sister and mom to New York for a few days just for fun. It was really fun... and really cold, but we had a great time. A few snaps...

Well, Hello There

After the last few weeks I briefly thought about stopping posting alltogether. Sometimes I think it's easy to get bogged down, uninspired or wrapped up in thoughts of "what do I have to say that someone else hasn't said?" but then I thought about some of my old favorite blogs that suddenly went completely radio silent and that always made me sad. So, here's what's been up with me...

I love these Rewind candles. They are made with soy wax and come in a repurposed wine bottle. I bought the Pinot Grigio fragrance, and it's really lovely. I bought mine at Hale House Vintage Living here in Fort Worth, but you can get them online at West Elm.

A Valentine's card...Can you believe it's tomorrow?

Benji in his new Jax and Bones bed. He loves it and it's pretty durable, Luke likes to pick it up and move it to different rooms in our house (when Benji's not in it, of course, he's not a monster) and it has stood up to that so far.

And, can we just talk about how beautiful this dress is?

It's Oscar de la Renta and I'm sure it costs a few thousand doubloons, but I just don't care. It is amazing!
