What's Up Thursday

Alright, I dig the Olympics and all, but NBC Universal is really cramping my style by taking over airtime on Bravo with Olympic tennis. Will I actually have to watch my Housewives at the scheduled first-run times instead of endlessly in reruns? This is a problem, and it makes me feel like so...

Speaking of, have you tried Ramona's Pinot Grigio? I want to try it based on this ridiculous photo alone.

So, I am notoriously picky about swimsuits. Basically I hate them. If you love swimsuits, good for you, but I feel we will never understand each other. So I bought my not-so-sexy one piece at the beginning of the summer and one Victoria's Secret number. I also saw this cute swimsuit on Shopbop, but it sold out quickly. Well, it's back, people. Sadly, not on sale, but it's like they say, sell out once shame on you, sell out twice, shame on me. So basically what I'm telling you is I bought it and am trying to rationalize a full-price swimsuit purchase with a mere four weeks of summer left.

Remember my random monkey? Well, a month later, he's still hanging on strong. And for some reason I'm totally drawn to monkeys now. Like this Herend monkey as seen on I Suwanee, the awesome blog of Jamie Meares who owns Furbish. I've been obsessed with Furbish for some time now, so finding her blog was all kinds of amazing. New favorite for sure. And, I need this, right?

Since it's August and fall clothes are officially on the racks, I have become preoccupied with making a fall fashion wish list. Most of it is boring stuff I buy most years: new pair of jeans, a black going out top, some kind of black boots (maybe these bad boys), but I'm trying to branch out and I'm thinking of branching way out with this cardi...

Cute, right? I think I would wear it a lot with my fall go-to pieces (jeans, flat boots, aviators, t-shirt). Last year I bought a 3.1 Phillip Lim leather jacket from Gilt (okay, I actually bought two) and an obsession with his jackets was born. It only seems right to start a tradition.

We got a Trader Joe's here in Fort Worth recently and I've been pretty impressed with their offerings. Though I don't know how you could do your weekly shopping there as their selection seems to change each time. Anyway, my two favorites that seem to be in constant stock are their coconut milk and Mediterranean hummus. Both are worth an extra trip.
