Before and After

My mom has been cleaning house of late and I am the grateful beneficiary of her organizational efforts. Inspired by how great her house looks, I decided to tackle a teeny tiny part of mine using a set of canvas bins she gave me.

Here is the before. This is my "miscellaneous" closet. Slightly akin to the scary, disorganized closet Monica kept on Friends.

Chilling, I know.

Everything was everywhere. No rhyme or reason. I mean, why exactly was I keeping that CVS bag full of greeting cards?

I started by taking everything out and sorting the trash, give away, keep.

Then I organized all of my wrapping and party supplies by sorting them into the bins.

I made cute labels for the bins.

And here is the after...

Much better! Now, we'll see how long it stays like this!
